What Are Digital X-Ray Services?

Digital X-rays are a diagnostic tool used by chiropractors and doctors to see what is causing a patient pain. These X-rays use a sensor to take an image and then send it immediately to a computer for analysis. This is a huge improvement over old-fashioned X-rays that used film and had to be developed to view the image. Today, your chiropractor can take a digital X-ray and give you a diagnosis in moments.

Who Needs X-Rays?

X-rays are usually done on patients who are experiencing pain. For the doctor to create the appropriate treatment plan, they will need to be able to see exactly what is going on at the muscular and skeletal levels.

How Can a Chiropractor Help My Pain?

Once you have your X-rays done, the chiropractor will examine the images and diagnose your pain. After this, a treatment plan can be developed. Chiropractic care seeks to provide all-natural, drug-free pain relief. There are a few different methods that can be used for this.

  • Spinal adjustment: Spinal adjustment is the foundational treatment used at the chiropractor's office. When the spine is out of alignment, it can cause pain and inflammation throughout the body. Bringing the spine back into alignment is crucial to overall health and pain relief.
  • Massage therapy: When the body's muscles become contracted, it can cause pain. Massage therapy focuses on the body's soft tissues to help loosen and lengthen. Through massage therapy, you can reduce inflammation and pain and reduce stress.
  • Hot and cold therapy: Hot/cold therapy can redirect pain signals and relieve pain associated with inflammation.

There are many other forms of treatment available as well. Your doctor will discuss these options with you during a consultation.
